Our group is broadly interested in electronic materials, devices/circuits, design layout, and computation for advanced healthcare systems that enables to diagnose, prevent, or treat disease/other symptoms, as well as for edible, eco-friendly and security/defense systems. Research interests include electronic materials/systems that simply disappear/dissolve in water or solutions at prescribed times or by designed trigger after given missions performed. Such system, often referred as to ‘Transient Electronics’, consists of entirely biocompatible, biodegradable electronic components, and non-toxic end products. Other works are aimed at establishing/developing smart flexible/stretchable/wearable electronic systems that allow users to monitor/record real time data of health information in almost all situations. All projects bring together a multi-disciplinary team of experts in fundamental science, engineering, and clinical medicine as a translational investigation.

We are looking for highly motivated students who are interested in semiconductors, flexible/stretchable/wearable electronics and biodegradable
electronic devices. Please contact Prof. Suk-Won Hwang (dupong76@korea.ac.kr) by email and include your curriculum vitae and research interests.
